JOB SUMMARY:
The purpose of this classification is to administer employee benefits and wellness programs while providing human resources support and ensuring compliance with applicable policies and regulations.

- Administers employee benefit programs, including enrollments, qualifying life event changes, terminations, benefit reconciliations, and the employee assistance program.
- Coordinates employee wellness initiatives, biometric screenings, incentive programs, orientations, and wellness communications.
- Processes and monitors FMLA, short-term disability, long-term disability, leave tracking, and related benefit programs while serving as liaison with insurance providers.
- Maintains employee benefit records, prepares required reports, audits payroll deductions, researches discrepancies, and ensures data accuracy within HR information systems.
- Assists with benefits administration projects, annual surveys, regulatory reporting, and compliance activities.
- Manages and coordinates the County's retirement program and 457 deferred compensation plan, serving as the primary point of contact for employees, vendors, and plan administrators.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Public Administration, or a related field and
- Three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in human resources, including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, or training coordination,
- Or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
