We are looking for a Rescue Adoption Coordinator!
The purpose of this classification is to coordinate and facilitate the adoption process for rescued animals, ensuring they are matched with safe, responsible, and permanent homes while supporting the overall mission of animal welfare and rescue.

Responsibilities
- Manage the full adoption process, including application review, screening, interviews, and final placements to ensure animals are matched with appropriate, responsible homes.
- Maintain clear, timely, and compassionate communication with adopters, fosters, volunteers, and partner organizations.
- Assist the public with services offered through community outreach, including education, resources, and support related to animal welfare.
- Accurately document adoption records, communications, and animal profiles using digital and physical recordkeeping systems.
- Work with rescue partners to verify credentials, register organizations, and coordinate the transfer of animals.
- Support and participate in public relations, promotions, and offsite adoption events to increase visibility and adoption rates.
- Adhere to all internal policies and legal regulations regarding adoptions, animal care, and rescue partnerships.
- Provide friendly, professional service to adopters, volunteers, donors, and the general public, representing the organization positively at all times.
- Promote compassionate treatment of animals and humane education within the community.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of one (1) year of experience in an animal rescue or shelter environment.
- Candidates may qualify with any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
