Description
We are looking for a Recycling Manager!

The purpose of this classification is to perform supervisory work functions associated with developing a comprehensive recycling program and overseeing recycling center operations. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Supervises, directs and evaluates assigned employees and inmates, processing employee concerns and problems, directing work, counseling, disciplining and completing employee performance appraisals. 
  • Develops/directs a comprehensive County recycling program; oversees daily operations of the recycling center in compliance with all applicable laws and guidelines.
  • Determines long-term goals and requirements for the recycling center. 
  • Compiles and/or tracks various administrative and/or statistical data pertaining to departmental operations; performs basic research as needed; makes applicable calculations; analyzes trends; prepares or generates reports; maintains records. 
  • Responds to routine requests for information from inmates, officials, employees, the public, or other individuals. 
  • Responds to complaints and questions related to recycling operations, to include providing information, researching problems, initiating telephone calls, etc. 
  • Operates a personal computer, general office or other equipment as necessary to complete essential functions, to include the use of word processing, spreadsheet, database, or other system software. 
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or equivalent, supplemented by four (4) years of experience in recycling operations, management, marketing, or a related field.
  • Applicants may qualify with any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.  
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Must posses or maintain a valid Correctional Officer Certification within twelve (12) months of hire.
