We are looking for an Airport Service Worker!

The purpose of this classification is to perform routine and skilled work in customer service as well as maintenance of runways and equipment; maintains airport safety and security and performs related work as assigned.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Provides information and assistance to pilots, passengers, the general public, and other individuals using airport; provides directions to/from airport; assists pilots with emergency situations.
• Performs quality control testing of fuels; performs critical detailed diagnostic fuel tests; maintains records.
• Performs manual work functions associated with airport operations; refuels aircraft; reloads fuel trucks from fuel farm; directs/parks/secures aircraft; manually tows aircraft; removes debris from runways, taxiways and parking areas; replaces/repairs wind socks; repairs fuel trucks and fuel farm; issues NOTAM(s); patrol grounds and reports suspicious activity, etc.
• Performs general housekeeping/maintenance tasks associated with maintaining airport facilities; unlocks/secures buildings; cleans terminal buildings; removes/disposes of trash, etc.
• Maintains inventory of departmental fuel, supplies, and equipment; initiates requests for new or replacement materials.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
