We are looking for a Corporal!


ESSENTIAL FUNCTION:

• Provides supervision, guidance, and training to officers, enforces all rules and regulations of the Sheriff's Office. 
• Maintains safety and security of the general public, facility staff, and inmates.  
• Performs special transportation assignment duties and court services.  
• Serves criminal and civil process issued by the courts. 
• Testifies in judicial proceedings; guards prisoners on trial; serves legal process, complaint for divorce, custody restraining orders; serves criminal arrest warrants.  

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent, and one (1) year of progressively responsible experience in law enforcement and administration, preferably in a correctional facility, or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license, Peace Officer Standards and Training (P.O.S.T.) certification, first aid certification, and CPR certification.
