We are looking for a Assistant Recycling Manager, Corrections. 

This purpose of this classification is to supervise Recycling Technical/Correctional Officer(s) in performing security/manual work functions associated with conducting Recycling Center operations and oversee the safety and security of inmates assigned to Recycling Center work detail. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Supervises and directs recycling technician and correctional officers on assigned work details; monitors activities and behavior of inmates; maintains inmate discipline, enforces established correctional facility rules and regulations; assists in restraining violent/unruly inmates.• Searches buildings, vehicles, and grounds to locate and remove contraband.
• Coordinates transportation or transports inmates to and from work site.
• Instructs recycling technician/correctional officers on proper work techniques; inspects completed work.
• Evaluates safety and security of work area; monitors all incoming materials to prevent acceptance of non-recyclable materials, coordinates outgoing and incoming shipments of materials, and maintains inventory.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent, and two (2) years experience in recycling operations or a related field.  
• Candidates may qualify with any combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.  
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Georgia Peace Officer Standards and Training (P.O.S.T.) and Basic Correctional Officer Training (B.C.O.T.) certification.
• Must maintain a valid drivers license.
