We are looking for a Deputy Clerk II.

Job Summary:
Performs advanced clerical duties supporting juvenile court operations, including processing legal documents, managing confidential case files, assisting in court hearings, and maintaining accurate records. Ensures compliance with legal procedures and provides information to the public and court personnel.

Essential Functions:

• Create, update, and organize confidential juvenile case records in both physical and electronic formats; Enter and update case information into court management systems accurately and in a timely manner.
• Assist the public, attorneys, and agencies by providing information on case status, court procedures, and document requirements.
• Handle sensitive juvenile records in accordance with legal standards and confidentiality laws.
• Perform general office duties such as answering phones, scanning, copying, and mailing court-related documents.
• File, stamp, and review petitions, orders, summons, and other court documents for accuracy and completeness.
• Attend juvenile court hearings, record proceedings, and prepare court minutes and orders.
• Process payments due to the Court.
• Receives and maintains all evidence for the court proceedings. 

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• One (1) year of experience in clerical, legal, or court-related field.
• Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Georgia Notary Public Certification.
