We are looking for a Warehouse Supervisor!

The purpose of this classification is to perform managerial work functions associated with warehousing, equipment, and materials management operations for the Public Works Department. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Supervises, directs and evaluates assigned staff, processing employee concerns and problems, directing work, counseling, disciplining and completing employee performance appraisals; provides training to staff members.
• Supervises and controls warehouse inventory; forecasts and schedules buying to take advantage of market conditions; evaluates minimum/maximum levels of stock to generate appropriate turnover; monitors inventory levels to ensure adequate quantities; evaluates reasons for out of stock items and takes corrective actions.
• Reviews invoices and related documentation for appropriateness and completion; forwards invoices for payment.
• Assists in preparing, revising, and implementing the departmental budget; monitors expenditures; advises department directors on issues pertaining to purchasing costs.
• Maintains computerized database of fleet management system, fuel management system, and company asset data; assigns company identification numbers to new equipment and adds to database.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in inventory control, or a related field.
• Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.  
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
• Must possess and maintain Underground Fuel Storage Tank Certification Class C.
