Description
We are looking for an Appraiser Processor!
The purpose of this classification is to perform specialized/administrative work functions associated with processing, maintaining, updating, and verifying appraisal data and documentation, assisting with property tax mapping function, providing support to the department and performing legal research for the department.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Process returns, exemption applications, appeals of assessment, take phone calls, etc.
• Verifies data and computations related to property appraisals; collects information related to performance of appraisals.
• Summarizes deed transfers; compiles and transfers deeds, maps, and land use information into department computer systems.
• Updates property record cards and related data used to calculate appraised values; assists in reviewing field appraisals of personal, real, and/or mobile home property as needed to determine appraised values and tax assessments.
• Updates personal property files as new information is received.
• Enters data into computer system; maintains records; scan paperwork into appraisal database.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or equivalent and (2) years of experience in real property appraisal, legal research, or a related field; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
